Are You a Christian ?

Join us this Sunday as we continue our message series "What Jesus Taught." In last week's message, "Money, Possesions, & Giving", we took a close look at the importance of our tithes and offerings to help spread God's Word in the local curch and abroad. This coming Sunday morning we will look at "Anger, Hatred, & Lust".  Last Sunday night we held Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Celebration and were blessed to pack another 66 shoeboxes. We surpassed our goal of 100 this year and were blessed to fill a total of 135 shoeboxes to send to children throughout the world. God has blessed us so much this year and we want to continue to be an outward focused Church for His glory!

We continue to have several visitors every Sunday morning and our average attendance holds steady between 55-60 each week. We give God all the glory for the great things He has done. You might also notice as you drive by the church that we are starting the early phases of building our new Community Building/Fellowship Hall. Pray for us as we continue this journey to expand our mission focused ministry in Calvertville and surrounding areas. If you would like to make a donation to help us remain debt free through this building project, please send your checks to our church address. I want to thank all the generous donations to date and I know God is doing a great work here at Concord.

We are truly blessed to be pastoring at such an amazing little Church that is full of people with servant's hearts and the desire to change lives around them. I believe in my heart that in 2017 God is going to blow us away with some amazing new growth. Our goal is to be an outreach in our community to keep reaching one more for His Kingdom. Always be ready to tell someone about the hope you have in Jesus and don't miss an opportunity to share His love! Have a very blessed week!

Love you all,

Pastor Craig

I am going to leave the message points from "Let Go and Let God" posted here on the welcome page, as we all need to let God have His way in our lives on a daily basis. God poured out his blessings on the Church in  Acts 2:41-47 and He wants to do the same for us today! The four steps we must take as believers to "Let Go and Let God" are the following:

1) Claim Our Power (Acts 1:8)

2) Accept Our Mission (Matthew 28:19)

3) Unite in Love (Matthew 22:37-40)

4) Focus on Our Purpose (Romans 8:28)

That same God that saved 3,000 souls on the Day of Pentecost is the same God we serve today! We must unite together as a Church and Impact the world around us for the glory of God! Start each morning by saying, "Lord, What would you have me to do?"   When we have a T.G.I.F. day (Today God is First), we truly "Let Go and Let God"!

Folks are truly excited about the growth and vision God has placed upon our hearts. We come to Church for one purpose and that is to worship God and experience His amazing love as He changes lives each service.

Wednesday nights we continue the great time of fellowship in our weekly Bible study. We just started a new study on the Book of Romans. Romans is an amazing book to guide us as believers and clearly point the need of Jesus as our Savior. I invite you to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.

I also want to invite those in the community who do not have a Church home to come and grow with us. I feel God has led  us to be a Church that everyone is invited to come as you are and allow God to make a difference in your life! Too many times we want to judge people because they are different than us and that is not what God wants for His Church. Hope to see you real soon at one of our morning services at 10:30 a.m. I believe you will enjoy our worship services and quickly feel you are part of our church family!

Please continue to pray for the Church and our staff as we reach out to the community with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Remember if you don't have a Church home, you have a family waiting for you to join us here at Concord General Baptist. I hope to see you at one of our services in the near future. Have a blessed week in the Lord!
