Are You a Christian ?

Wow! Where has the time gone this year! Hard to believe it is already August and the temps are hot and humid! I want to praise our Savior Who has blessed our little church and seen us through a tough time of uncertainty this year with the COVID-19 pandemic. We definitely went through unchartered waters as a Church, but praise God He was in the boat with us on these rough waters. Please keep praying for our leaders and all the families affected by this devastating virus. As Christians we need to do all we can as the Church to help prevent the spread of this virus. This may include staying home with all our children. This means we have to live outside of our comfort zones and minister in different formats. The important fact as the Church is to daily live Faith over Fear! Keep praying and seeking God in His Word as we live a life to impact those affected by these perilous times we are going through as a nation and local community. God is still in complete control and nothing catches God by surprise. Remember Church Faith Over Fear!

Hard to believe "LIFE" VBS is this Saturday August 22, so make plans to bring your children out for this fun packed day and for the community fish fry at 6:30 that night. VBS registration starts at 8 am and the the children will be served breakfast and lunch. Our fish fry will now become part of our VBS closing program dinner for the parents and entire community. Don't Miss it!

One final service note is an invite to Wednesday night Bible study. We are currently studying the Book of Philippians.  We continue to meet online for our Bible study using free conference call . You can join us by dialing 1-712-832-8330, Access Code- 4785237. We hope to be meeting again in person sometime in the near future, but will keep the conference call format active as we meet in person again. I invite you to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.

Our new fellowship hall is 99% funded to date. We have been blessed to raise $113,700 and remain on track to complete this new building without borrowing any money from the bank. We invite you to come visit and grow with us. Our vision is to be a mission minded Church reaching out to others with the love of God. We give God all the glory for the great things He has done!

I still believe in my heart that this year is going to be one of the greatest years for our little country church. We have been so blessed to see our average attendance on Sunday morning grow to over 60. I am humbled every Sunday to see what God is doing in us and through us each week. We are a kid friendly Church and our youth numbers have climbed to over 20+ in our Junior Church that my wife leads each week. So bring your children and come visit us some Sunday morning real soon. If you are unable to come sit with us, I invite you to watch our morning service on Facebook Live each week. Keep a close eye on our Facebook page and our website calender for what is in store for 2020.

We are truly blessed to be entering into our 9th year pastoring such an amazing little country Church. Our church family is full of people with servant's hearts and the desire to help change lives around them. I believe in my heart that God is going to blow us away with more amazing new growth. Our goal is to be an outreach in our community to keep reaching one more for His Kingdom. Always be ready to tell someone about the hope you have in Jesus and don't miss an opportunity to share His love! Have a very blessed week!

Love you all,

Pastor Craig

I am going to leave the message points from "Let Go and Let God" posted here on the welcome page, as we all need to let God have His way in our lives on a daily basis. God poured out his blessings on the Church in  Acts 2:41-47 and He wants to do the same for us today! The four steps we must take as believers to "Let Go and Let God" are the following:

1) Claim Our Power (Acts 1:8)

2) Accept Our Mission (Matthew 28:19)

3) Unite in Love (Matthew 22:37-40)

4) Focus on Our Purpose (Romans 8:28)

That same God that saved 3,000 souls on the Day of Pentecost is the same God we serve today! We must unite together as a Church and Impact the world around us for the glory of God! Start each morning by saying, "Lord, What would you have me to do?"   When we have a T.G.I.F. day (Today God is First), we truly "Let Go and Let God"!

Folks are truly excited about the growth and vision God has placed upon our hearts. We come to Church for one purpose and that is to worship God and experience His amazing love as He changes lives each service.

I also want to invite those in the community who do not have a Church home to come and grow with us. I feel God has led  us to be a Church that everyone is invited to come as you are and allow God to make a difference in your life! Too many times we want to judge people because they are different than us and that is not what God wants for His Church. Hope to see you real soon at one of our Sunday morning services at 10:30 a.m. I believe you will enjoy our worship services and quickly feel you are part of our church family!

Please continue to pray for the Church and our staff as we reach out to the community with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Remember if you don't have a Church home, you have a family waiting for you to join us here at Concord General Baptist. I hope to see you at one of our services in the near future. Have a blessed week in the Lord!
