Are You a Christian ?

Wow! I can not believe that the dog days of summer are here already and the 90 degree July days are upon now. Another 4H year has come and gone and only a few weeks and the kiddos will be back in school. We look forward to a great couple more summer months of worship and activities here at Concord. We continue to have several visitors every Sunday morning and our average attendance has exceeded 55 each week. We give God all the glory for the great things He has done.

I want to take a minute to brag on our awesome God. We had an amazing VBS this year as we averaged 51 kids each night and had a total enrollment of 79 children this year. The closing program included pies in the face for our youth pastor and myself, since we exceeded our enrollment goal of 75. We were blessed with another record year in attendence and all the glory goes to God! Our theme this year was "Adventures In Paradise" and we spent a great week experiencing the love of God. Can't wait to see what God has in store for us next year! Thanks to everyone that made this year an amazing success and a special thanks to our VBS Director, Carol Byers.  Also a very special thank you to Mary Ann Sowers for all the great VBS pictures and for putting together an awesome slide show for us all to enjoy. Click on the link below to enjoy the 2017 VBS slide show. http://mychurchwebsite.s3.amazonaws.com/c1779/vbs_2017.pptx

We are truly blessed to be pastoring at such an amazing little Church that is full of people with servant's hearts and the desire to change lives around them. I believe in my heart that in 2017 God is going to blow us away with some amazing new growth. Our goal is to be an outreach in our community to keep reaching one more for His Kingdom. Always be ready to tell someone about the hope you have in Jesus and don't miss an opportunity to share His love! Have a very blessed week!

Love you all,

Pastor Craig

I am going to leave the message points from "Let Go and Let God" posted here on the welcome page, as we all need to let God have His way in our lives on a daily basis. God poured out his blessings on the Church in  Acts 2:41-47 and He wants to do the same for us today! The four steps we must take as believers to "Let Go and Let God" are the following:

1) Claim Our Power (Acts 1:8)

2) Accept Our Mission (Matthew 28:19)

3) Unite in Love (Matthew 22:37-40)

4) Focus on Our Purpose (Romans 8:28)

That same God that saved 3,000 souls on the Day of Pentecost is the same God we serve today! We must unite together as a Church and Impact the world around us for the glory of God! Start each morning by saying, "Lord, What would you have me to do?"   When we have a T.G.I.F. day (Today God is First), we truly "Let Go and Let God"!

Folks are truly excited about the growth and vision God has placed upon our hearts. We come to Church for one purpose and that is to worship God and experience His amazing love as He changes lives each service.

Wednesday nights we continue the great time of fellowship in our weekly Bible study. We are studying the "Power of Prayer." I invite you to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.

I also want to invite those in the community who do not have a Church home to come and grow with us. I feel God has led  us to be a Church that everyone is invited to come as you are and allow God to make a difference in your life! Too many times we want to judge people because they are different than us and that is not what God wants for His Church. Hope to see you real soon at one of our morning services at 10:30 a.m. I believe you will enjoy our worship services and quickly feel you are part of our church family!

Please continue to pray for the Church and our staff as we reach out to the community with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Remember if you don't have a Church home, you have a family waiting for you to join us here at Concord General Baptist. I hope to see you at one of our services in the near future. Have a blessed week in the Lord!
